Still Here

September 16, 2008

Given that my computer isn't hooked up yet at our new house, my blogging has been a bit...non-existent.  Sorry, friends.  Hopefully soon!

Here's the life update:

* We're officially moved in!  Each night as we get ready to go to sleep one of us can be found saying, "Isn't this house just such a blessing?!"  We're so grateful to God!

*  Owen is doing the army-crawl these days.  It's so weird to see a baby sort of crawl the "right" way after Tali and her months of scooting.

*  Tali is funny, as always.  She's been really into pretending as of late.  "I'm Mih-tuh Nat.  You Yay-nuh.  O-wen id Mih-siz Hanna."  Or, "Oh-tay, Mommy!  I'm Drahma.  I'm doe-een to Toe-op to teed da tids.  See ya yay-da!"

* There are tons of boxes to be unpacked but it's so good to finally be in our home!

As Tali would say, "See ya yay-da!"

  2. I'm so happy for your family to be moved into this new home. I heard you had water in your basement! I hope it wasn't very much. And that the rains have passed for good now. Love you!

  5. Ok, so maybe it's because we are allllll the waaaaaay out here in CA, but Mom and I need some translation. We only got about 60% of the Tali conversation. :(

    Grammy says "help...."

  6. Here is the Tali translation:

"I'm Mr. Nat. You, Lana. Owen is Mrs. Hanna. Ok, Mommy. I'm Grandma. I'm going to co-op to teach the kids! See ya later!"

She loves to pretend to be friends from church or family members. The other morning (4am!!!) Tali was awake crying and when I went in she wanted to pretend to be Owen. She said, "I'm O-wen. Dis is my bay-er (pretending her baby was Owen's bear)." Then she looked at me and did an Owen wave (which involves sticking your arm straight out and then slowly rotating your hand). It cracked me up!

  8. Great advise Katie! And I'll gladly take the prayer... this mom thing is the hardest thing I've ever done, but it's great isn't it? Thanks for the great mommy advise!
