My Favorite 2 Year Old

September 15, 2009

Tali is one of the most enjoyable people to be around that I've ever met. She really is just so cheerful, funny, sweet, kind, thoughtful, etc. (Don't get me wrong, she has her moments like we all do, but I'm talking the overall picture here!) Here's just a small snap-shot into what it's like to live with her...

This morning the kids were playing with the Strawberry Shortcakes in Tali's room. I was sitting in the chair relaxing a bit and just enjoying their conversation with each other. Here's a bit of it:

Owen: Can I pay Stah-bayree Soe-cakes?
Tali: Oh shuh, Owen. Owen, can I play too?
Owen: No.
Mommy: Yes, Owen, you need to share with Tali.
Tali: Owen, can I please have some of the Strawberry Shortcakes?
Owen: He-uh (handing over a couple of them).
Tali: Oh Owen! Thanks so much for giving me a couple of them. That was so kind of you, Owen! Did you know that? That was kind! Thank you!

  1. Good to see your posts again, Katie. Tali is a sweetie, and the statements from her lips parrot you. Way to invest time in those babies! I could listen to them all day long.

  2. This is probably why my son ALWAYS wants to play with her. Not gonna lie, she encourages/challenges me with her words many times! We love your girly--she is one of our favorite 2 year olds too!

  3. I hear echoes of Josh and Katie everytime she talks. What a wonderful reflection of her parents tender instruction. So cute I could just gobble her up:)

  6. Kiki, I am so excited to hear from you! What a wonderful surprise! I have been praying for you so much lately, asking God to pour out grace as you seek to mommy those two babies in your care. My heart definitely bursts with joy knowing that He has not only given you one, but two girlies to love and raise for His glory.
